Mission

The Adult Education Advisory Council will work collaboratively and as individuals to ensure the availability and quality of adult literacy and basic skills services by:

• Advocating for adult literacy and basic skills.
• Supporting, improving and expanding partnership, collaboration and coordination among the state’s adult literacy and basic skills stakeholders, providers and external partners at every level.
• Influencing planning at the local, state, regional, and federal levels as they recommend goals, priorities, and outcomes to include adult literacy and basic skills learners and services.
• Identifying and helping to secure resources for adult literacy and basic skills.
