Fabulous Fun Links for Teachers and Students
- The Khan Academy
Salman Khan started making instructional videos to tutor his cousin, who lived more than 1,500 miles away. Using an Internet connection and the Yahoo Doodle program, he created videos that focus on problem-solving. His math, science and economic topics range from Adult Basic Skills levels through upper division Higher Education and can be used in an online class, a face-to-face class, as an after-class tutorial, or as a model for faculty to consider when reflecting on how to connect with their students. Khan’s videos have been translated into a number of different languages.
