h.i.p. Pocket Change -- http://www.usmint.gov/kids/
The United States Mint h.i.p. Pocket Change™ Web site was launched in July 1999. h.i.p. Pocket Change is a fun educational tool for students and teachers that generates interest in coins, the United States Mint, and U.S. history.
The United States Mint celebrated the release of the Washington quarter on April 2, 2007. The ceremony marked the release of the quarter for the forty-second state to be honored as a part of the 50 State Quarters® Program. Washington's quarter pictures a salmon next to Mt. Rainier, a volcano. The quarter also bears the state's nickname, "Evergreen State," as well as the inscriptions "Washington" and "1889." The Web site offers a collection of lesson plans and activities available based on the Washington State quarter. Click on the link in this paragrah to see what is available.
