What is RSS?
RSS allows users to subscribe to content from their favorite web sites. Using an RSS reader, you can have content from all over the internet delivered to your desktop while it's new and meaningful.
What is an RSS News Feed Reader?
A news feed reader, also known as a news aggregator, collects news from various web sites and provides it to you in a simple form. It reduces the time and effort needed to regularly check web sites for updates and creates a unique information space or "personal newspaper." There are many different news feed readers available for download and many of them are free. View a list of popular news feed readers at Google.
How To Sign Up
If you are already using an RSS reader, all you need to do is click on the RSS "subscribe" logo at the top of this page. Many new versions of browsers integrate with desktop RSS readers, but if you are using an older browser, such as Internet Explorer 6, clicking on the link/icon may not work. In such a case you will probably just see code. In that case, paste http://www.sbctc.edu/rss.xml into the appropriate place in your reader to add the news feed to your subscription list. Refer to your reader's instructions.
