Articulation and Transfer Council (ATC)

The Washington State Instruction Commission (IC) charters the Articulation & Transfer Council to address the statewide management issues related to the transfer curriculum and the articulation of such between institutions. This Council is organized to:

• Articulation - 2-year to 2-year: Address issues of acceptance of courses in transfer between colleges within the CTC system.

• Articulation - with Baccalaureate Institutions (BIs): Identify issues and recommend actions to improve the transfer into specific majors at the BIs for students with DTA, AS-T and AAS-T degrees as well as recommending initiatives to improve transfer for students without degrees.

• Transfer Leadership: To assume and maintain leadership in the promotion and support of the transfer education.

The Articulation & Transfer Council works with and reports to the Instruction Commission on important and emerging transfer related issues and trends, typically through the IC liaison and in response to specific assignments from IC.
