Continuing Education Council (CEC)
Continuing Education in Washington’s 34 community and technical colleges is comprised of instruction geared toward professional development, personal enrichment, and business-dedicated contract training.
The Continuing Education Council (CEC) of Washington is the professional council that represents the continuing education mission across the community and technical college system. The CEC reports through the Instruction Commission on policy development matters and other system wide trends concerning continuing and lifelong education and serves as the statewide professional and leadership development association for its members.
Each year the council conducts an Economic Impact Survey that measures the work being done statewide by Continuing Education departments.
