Common Course Numbering

Scope of Common Course Numbering Project

The project's scope was limited to academic transfer courses as defined by the Intercollege Relations Council (ICRC) agreement (Appendix B of the ICRC Handbook, pages 22-25).

The Common Course list includes all courses included in the Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) that are over the 100 level. Currently, Math 098 is not a commonly-numbered course. Included are several courses that count toward professional/technical degrees, such as Accounting and Criminal Justice.

The scope does not include developmental education, professional/technical programs, or Basic Skills (ABE,GED, ESL or High School Completion).

Changes will be made to the Dept/Div abbreviation, the course number, and the title. Each college may use the colon (:) after the title and use the remaining 25 characters as a part of the title.

The current Common Course database is available in the Current Activities section below.
