Community and technical college board meets Sept. 9 in Oak Harbor
OLYMPIA – The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will meet Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the Skagit Valley College Whidbey Island Campus in Oak Harbor.
The agenda includes adoption of the board’s 2004 meeting schedule and consideration of requests from two colleges to use local funds for building projects. Seattle Central Community College is seeking approval to add local funds to expand its science and math replacement project, and Whatcom Community College is asking for approval to use local funds to complete its art building project.
The meeting is scheduled from 1 to 2:45 p.m. in Oak Hall. It follows a retreat for board members on Monday, Sept. 8, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 8 a.m. to noon., also in Oak Hall.
