Community and technical college board will discuss  enrollments and budget reduction impacts

OLYMPIA, Wash. – The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 4, and Thursday, Feb. 5, at the State Board office in Olympia.

The study session is scheduled from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Feb. 4. On Feb. 5, Board members and executive director will have a breakfast meeting. The regular meeting is 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 5.

During the two-day meeting, the Board will discuss Legislative issues, budget reductions, the 2008 fall quarter enrollment report, and results of a study which analyzed the return on investment of Washington’s community and technical college workforce education programs.

The community and technical college Mission Study Task Force will give an update.

The Board will join SBCTC staff for dinner on Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. at Mercato Ristorante, 111 Market Street NW, Olympia. No official business will be discussed during dinner.

Except for executive sessions, all meetings are open to the public and will be held at the SBCTC office, Cascade conference room, 1300 Quince Street SE, Olympia.
