Community and technical college board to act on budget and tuition
OLYMPIA, Wash. – The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will meet on Wednesday, May 6, and Thursday, May 7, at Lake Washington Technical College.
The study session is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. on May 6. During the study session, the Board will hear a legislative update and receive a budget implementation briefing, to include 2009-10 tuition rates, 2009-10 operating budget allocations, 2009-11 capital budget allocations, 2009-10 SBCTC office budget, and consideration of financial emergency declaration.
The regular meeting is 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on May 7. Action will be taken on 2009-10 tuition rates, 2009-10 operating budget allocations, and 2009-11 capital budget allocations.
Dr. Sharon McGavick, Lake Washington Technical College president, will give a host campus presentation. The Board will receive updates on the Mission Study Task Force and System Technology.
The Board will meet for a reception and dinner on May 6 at 5:30 p.m. with LWTC Trustees and staff in the LWTC Board Dining Room (room E-144). No official actions will be taken.
Except for executive sessions, all meetings are open to the public and will be held in Lake Washington Technical College's Board Room, room W305A, 11605 – 132nd Avenue NE, Kirkland.
