Community and technical college board to consider financial emergency declaration
OLYMPIA, Wash. – The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will meet on Wednesday, June 10, and Thursday, June 11, at Yakima Valley Community College.
The study session is scheduled from 1:30 to 5:20 p.m. on June 10. During the study session, the Board will discuss the consideration of financial emergency declaration, 2009-10 enrollment rules and the system’s administrative computer applications project. The Board will also receive an update from the Mission Study Task Force.
The regular meeting is 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 11. During the regular meeting, the Board will consider approving the FY2010 federal workforce and adult basic education allocations. They will consider a number of resolutions, including a declaration of financial emergency, a transfer degree program approval process and a new Bachelor of Applied Science degree at Bellevue College.
For part of each day, the board will meet in executive session to review the performance of the executive director.
Dr. Linda Kaminski, Yakima Valley Community College president, will give a host campus presentation.
The Board will meet for a reception and dinner on June 10 at 5:30 p.m. with YVCC Trustees and staff in the Hopf Union Building, King Room. No official actions will be taken.
Except for executive sessions, all meetings are open to the public and will be held at Yakima Valley Community College, Deccio Higher Education Center, Parker Room, South 16th and Nob Hill Blvd, Yakima.
