Community and technical college board to meet May 5-6
OLYMPIA, Wash. – The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will meet on Wednesday, May 5, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Thursday, May 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Walla Walla Community College.
During the two-day meeting, the Board will consider an increase in 2010-11 tuition as authorized by the Washington State Legislature and will also consider approval of the 2010-11 initial operating and capital budget allocations. The Board will further discuss development of the community and technical college system’s 2011-13 operating budget request, which will be submitted to the Governor and Legislature in September.
Dr. Steve VanAusdle, Walla Walla Community College president, will give a host college presentation on May 6.
The Board will meet for dinner on May 5 at 5:45 p.m. at Walla Walla Community College. No official actions will be taken nor will official business be discussed during dinner. On May 6, breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. for meeting participants. No official action will be taken nor will official business be discussed during breakfast.
Except for executive sessions, all meetings are open to the public and will be held at the Walla Walla Community College Conference Center, Room 185, 500 Tausick Way, Walla Walla, WA.
