Community and technical college board to meet June 16-17
OLYMPIA, Wash. – The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will meet on Wednesday, June 16, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Thursday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Peninsula College in Port Angeles. Prior to the regular meeting on June 16, the board will meet in executive session to review the performance of the executive director.
During the two-day meeting, the Board will discuss development of the community and technical college system’s 2011-13 operating budget request and consider approval of several items, including the FY2011 federal workforce and adult basic education allocations and the community and technical college system’s 2011-13 capital budget request.
Dr. Tom Keegan, Peninsula College president, will give a host college presentation on June 17.
The Board will meet for dinner at 5:45 p.m. on June 16 at Bella Italia, 118 E. 1st Street, Port Angeles. No official actions will be taken nor will official business be discussed during dinner. At 8 a.m. on June 17, breakfast will be served for meeting participants in the Longhouse Cultural Center. No official action will be taken nor will official business be discussed during breakfast.
Except for executive sessions, all meetings are open to the public and will be held at Peninsula College, Building B, Room 150, 1502 East Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles, WA.
